Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, quality management of IP network becomes an important issue according to the development of real-time applications, such as IP-phone, TV-meeting and Video-stream. In today's network quality management, it's a general method to detect the change of communication quality using preset threshold for monitoring data. However, it's not easy to set a proper threshold for each monitoring data, because the types and characteristics of monitoring data will become more diverse as the management objects become large scale and complex. We propose the real-time change detection method that enables to recognize the change in the state of managed object immediately, without preset threshold. The essencial idea of our method is applying a statistical method to sequential monitoring data. We also apply our proposed method to VoIP quality management.
