Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Linux is being applied to high availability systems such as a carrier system. In order to realize a high availability on session control system, high priority tasks (ex. a system control task) have to be able to start within a certain time in any cases and run continually till finishing their tasks without being interrupted by other tasks. On the legacy carrier systems, above-mentioned functions have been realized by applying real-time OS (CTRON). However, a general Linux has a task scheduler which is for interactive systems, so it still has not been clarified about how much can satisfy requests for a carrier system. This paper shows how to realize task control methods with guaranteed priority control on a general Linux. And by some experiments, we show the influence which the task priority value called NICE has on a task priority control. As a result, we show the guideline for the system design methods.
