Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been proposing application identification methods based on the flow behavior analysis. The methods identify an application of a single flow depending neither on the payload pattern nor on the header information such as a port number in order to avoid being fooled by a forged port number or by an encrypted payload. We, in this paper, propose an enhanced approach which identifies applications of an aggregated flow such as VPN traffic which consists of several flows and can not be split into a single flow in the middle of its path.
