Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Using the arithmetic code, a prefix of codeword can be determined from a prefix of source sequence. In this report, we show experimental results obtained by observing generating process of codewords and decoded sequences, and show that they are approximated by geometric distribution. We also show experimental results obtained by observing delay caused by encoding and decoding, and obtain threshold of initial delay for stable reproduction on a realtime transmission system.
