Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Lossless data embedding is a watermarking technique that is capable of recovering the host data after the embedded data has been extracted. This paper proposes an information-theoretic model for the lossless data embedding problem as one-dimensional formalization of lossless generalized LSB-embedding methods. On the proposed model, the problem of minimizing the length of the host data required to embed a watermark is established. This paper designs a universal embedding method that can asymptotically attain the minimum host data length.
