Acceleration of arithmetic in Galois fields by hardware support

Abstract(in English) In encryption and decryption of public-key cryptographies, such as elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), computation of arithmetic operations in a large Galois field is required. In this talk, algorithms for computing these operations are reviewed, and then, methods for accelerating the computation by instruction-set extension and by dedicated hardware are explained.
