Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper discusses the importance of prediction in visual perception for the communication between the robot and human. We propose a prediction-based perceptual system based on spiking neuron. In our proposal system, the robot extracts the pattern of the human interaction based on unsupervised learning, and predicts the change of interaction pattern for control of perceptual modules. Furthermore, we show the experimental results of the communication between a partner robot and human based on our proposal method.
