Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) McCullagh and Barreto [1] presented a two-party identity-based key agreement protocol in 2004. However, their protocol was insecure against the man-in-the-middle attack and the key compromise impersonation attack. Later they proposed a variant of the protocol, but it was still insecure against the man-in-the-middle at-tack and without perfect forward secrecy. Xie [3] also improved McCullagh and Barreto's protocol in 2004, but his improvement was insecure against the impersonation attack. Here we propose a new variant of McCullagh and Barreto's protocol, and demonstrate our scheme meets all security requirements for an authenticated key agreement. The proposed scheme can be extended to non-escrow and distinct domain modes.
