Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We demonstrated extremely widely tunable THz-wave generation from 1.5 to 38 THz with difference frequency generation (DFG) using an organic 4-dimethylamino-N-methyl-4-stilbazolium tosylate (DAST) crystal. We constructed a dual-wavelength optical parametric oscillator (KTP-OPO) with two KTP crystals. The KTP-OPO has a widely tunable difference frequency range above 50THz. Because each KTP crystal was set on a Galvano scanner and the angle of each crystal was controlled independently, a fast frequency agile THz-wave generation can be demonstrated. And also, we demonstrated a spectroscopic application using the fast frequency agile, widely tunable THz-wave.
