Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Terahertz (THz) wave researches which has lay in an undeveloped electro-magnetic wave region is beginning to give great fruit due to the excellent development of various THz-wave sources and their applications recently. For general coherent-wave sources, one requires both of ultra-wide tunability and narrow oscillation line-width whose relation is on trading off. In order to utilize these properties of THz-wave sources efficiently, it is great significant to develop the techniques of oscillation frequency control which include rapid continuous tuning and random tuning. This paper takes the development of the promising THz-wave sources which have the useful properties and the exploring of prospective applications with the sources.
