Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Next generation wireless systems, such as IEEE802.11n and IEEE802.16e, need high error-correction capability to achieve high data rate transmisssion. Therefore, a low-density parity-check code (LDPC code) is adopted as a FEC code. In this paper, we evaluate the error-correction capability of the fixed-point LDPC code and discuss the word length in bits. In addition, simulation results under a next generation wireless LAN system show the validity of the word length in bits.
