Calculation Methods of a Phase-Only Correlation Function for Images based on Discrete Cosine Transform

Abstract(in English) This paper presents calculation methods of a phase-only correlation (POC) function based on DCT coefficients. In the DFT case, the POC function is calculated from the phase information of the DFT coefficients. On the other hand, in the DCT case, all the DCT coefficients are real values, so the phase information is corresponded to the sign information. This paper describes the relation between the phase information of the DFT and the sign information of the DCT. As a result, it is shown that the several calculation methods of the correlation function from the sign information of the DCT coefficients.
