Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When we do 3-D face research which is represented by face verification, head model generation, and the expression analysis, it is important to obtain the range images where the correspondence of the face between images is acquired easily. Because the influence of little face posture change and perspective projection is caused in the measured images, the facial size and facial pose in the images are uneven. In this paper, a method to generate canonical facial range images that are uniform range images acquired from the same subject is described. In the experiment, 362 canonical facial range image generation demonstrates the effectiveness and impact of this method.
