| Abstract(in English) | In MPEG-2, DVD, and the third generation mobile phone (IMT-200), since many patentees concerning a technical standard exist, a patent pool is formed in consideration of the convenience of licensers and licensees, and it is licensing to the essential patents concerning standards. In this paper, the patent pool of MPEG-2, DVD, and IMT-2000 are explained, and the subject which each holds is clarified. Furthermore, the licensing fee is discussed about the case where the license through a patent pool or a license separately, and the advantages and disadvantages of the license through a patent pool are clarified by the strength of the patent portfolio of a licenser or a licensee. |
