Abstract(in English) A video database has become huge because raipid spread of the Internet and capacity of strage media increased. Therefore, the technology that retrieves a desired video has become more important. However, in the video retrieval the user denerally enters a keyword and the system provides the videos linked to the keyword in relevancy ranked order. On the contrary, we define the multidimensional feature space based on colors and motions and propose the video retrieval system which provides the videos consisting of similar scenes to user's query. The system changes search areas based on the relevance feedback and povides new videos on each occasion. For bringing the provided video to user's desired video, we determine selectively the search area with user's process of retrieval.
