Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the display device adjusts the peak brightness and average brightness and black brightness by a peripheral brightness environment. However, this brightness control is not an adjustment that reflects the genre of contents. Our purpose is a study of the brightness control method in which the genre of contents is reflected. In this paper, the brightness feature of contents is investigated, and it proposes the classification method. The feature of the black and the average brightness and the middle brightness and the peak brightness are extracted from the brightness histogram of contents, and it was classified. Contents can be classified into six kinds by using this proposal technique according to the content.
