Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Color-tracking phenomenon that shifts colors in low luminance regions is one of the problems of display devices. A method, a method of high fidelity color reproduction, was reported to solve the color-tracking problem. In this study, a new color reproduction method is proposed that is not only as precise as the reported method but also faster than the previous one in converting colors. The method selects an optimum color reproduction matrix for every input color. Therefore it achieves reduction of color reproduction error. Multiple matrices for color reproduction are made by a criterion of color difference caused by primary color changes and the color tracking of tone changes in advance. The proposed method was found to be as good as the average color difference of the previous one for the colors within the display gamut and be about fifty times faster in converting colors.
