Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have reported the possible effect of ELF electrostimulation on the reactive oxygen generation of a macrophage. In this study, we examined the effect of the electrostimulation on the NO that was a kind of the same radical generation of a macrophage in vitro. The NO generation was suppressed by the electrostimulation (50Hz, 35μA/cm^2, 16h) with statistical significance. As the mechanism of this effect, the iNOS generation was also examined. It was suppressed in the same ratio as the NO generation. The dose-response of these effects was analyzed, and the threshold was found between 0.35μA/cm^2 and 3.5μA/cm^2. The results of this study suggest that the NO generation can be suppressed by electrostimulation though the mechanism of iNOS suppression.
