Eye-Tracking Analyses of Japanese Reading Processes (III) : Distance and Speed of Saccades

Abstract(in English) We conducted an experiment using an Eye-Tracking-System in order to find out the difficulties incurred in reading Japanese by 5 groups of foreigner(s) and a group of Japanese native speaker(s). We found that the distance and speed of saccades has the relationship. And Kanji-area group has the highest speed, and Japanese native group has the longest distance of saccades.
