Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For the accessibility initiative to the visually impaired, it is crucial to provide equivalent documents in the form of Braille, too. We have been developing the "BrailleML", which is described by an XML Schema as an intermediate language. In the present study, we first define the BrailleML. We then propose an automatic Braille translation system, and compare it with other Braille translation systems. Finally, we discuss the future roadmaps to achieve the accessibility initiative using the present BrailleML.
