Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) 3.4-4.2GHz and 4.4-4.9GHz microwave band is, in ITU-R, being discussed as a candidate of the frequency that is assigned to the 4th-generation mobile communication systems. In order to contribute to this frequency assignment, we conducted radio propagation experiments by use of 3.35GHz carrier frequency to obtain 3GHz-band radio propagation characteristics of macro cellular systems. In the experiments, pseudo noise (PN) 15 sequences are transmitted in the transmitter, and in the receiver detailed delay power profiles are obtained by crosscorrelation with 160 Msamples/s. In this paper, we report path-loss characteristics and delay spread that are obtained from the delay power profiles as well as outline of the radio propagation experiments.
