Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Intermittent Periodic Transmit (IPT forwarding) is known as a packet forwarding scheme that achieves highly efficient packet relays in wireless multihop networks. We have proposed the spiral routing as a routing scheme that enables the IPT forwarding in two-dimensional node layouts. However a distributed algorithm capable of achieving the spiral routing is not unfortunately found yet. This paper proposes another way to enable the spiral routing even in two-dimensional node layouts. The proposed scheme employs a path reservation technique that is carried out in advance with entering IPT forwarding, which makes conventional routing algorithms such as tree type ones or mesh type ones be applicable associating with the IPT forwarding. Simulation results ensure combination of the IPT forwarding with the proposed path reservation achieves lower average packet delay compared with a conventional multihop routing and forwarding.
