Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The paper proposes three methods worked in the MAC layer for improving VoIP data transmission efficiency. As are different with the conventional packet forwarding scheme of the IEEE802.11 MAC layer, these methods slightly modify the usual medium access mechanism to promote forwarding packet capability. In addition, to enhance the VoIP performance over the wireless 802.11 network, the delivery sequence of packets queued by MAC layer are also rearranged. Via the simulations of VoIP data traffic, performances analysis of proposed methods are presented. It is found that compared with the IEEE802.11 standard, these methods may improve delivery performance of VoIP data in MANET.
