Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates optimum roll-off factor of spectrum shaping filter for Single-Carrier (SC)-FDMA radio access from the viewpoint of achievable throughput considering Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in Evolved UTRA uplink. In the paper, we derive the optimum roll-off factor value both for Localized and Distributed FDMA signals taking into account frequency offset, time offset due to received timing errors among simultaneous users and received power differences among users. Simulation results elucidate that no distinct difference is obtained for roll-off values from 0 to 0.2 in QPSK modulation, whereas the optimum roll-off factor becomes approximately 0.12-0.16 in 16QAM modulation assuming frequency offset of 200kHz, time offset of 6μsec, and the average received power difference of 6dB.
