Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A TV-studio-use wireless HDTV camera, which is called "a millimeter-wave mobile camera", is being developed. In this development, it's very important to ensure the channel reliability, so a MIMO-OFDM system in the 55GHz-band which has two transmitting and four receiving antennas is examined with this respect. A transmission experiment was carried out to investigate a "transmission area" where MIMO-OFDM transmission equipment could succeed in the data transmission with the required channel reliability. As a result, it was confirmed that there exists a suitable arrangement of receiving antennas to enlarge the coverage where signals can be correctly transmitted. And it was estimated that four receiving antennas optimally selected from twelve ones in a 150m^2 class studio could have the transmission area of 99.9%.
