Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A "Millimeter-wave mobile camera", a wireless high-definition television (HDTV) camera used in a TV studio, has been developed adopting millimeter-wave and MIMO transmission method. Wireless transmission for the camera should not interrupt its transmitting HDTV signals even in the mobile condition where the channel state of radio propagation paths changes very fast due to short wavelength of the millimeter-wave. In this paper, a MIMO-OFDM transmission equipment was made for a trial purpose, and its transmission performance was evaluated using a fading simulator emulating the fast Rayleigh fading environment in a TV studio. The result almost agreed with the designed performance calculated by the computer simulation and confirmed an excellent transmission characteristic under fast fading environment.
