Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems operated in the Single Frequency Network (SFN) might face the problems derived from the delayed waves with the time difference larger than the Guard Interval (GI) which cause the Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) and the Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI). We have proposed a filterbank based equalization technique, which applies the Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation (MLSE) to the filterbank output correspond to the "ISI-free" duration of the received signal. In this paper, we reduce the computational complexity of the proposed method by dividing the MLSE into two stages. The computer simulations which assume the Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial (ISDB-T) show that the proposed method considerably improves the bit error rate performance compared with the conventional one tap equalization.
