Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Decision feedback channel estimation is one of the promising channel estimation schemes for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission under fast fading channels. In decision feedback channel estimation, the time domain averaging filter is essential to suppress the noise on the channel estimates and the forgetting factor of the averaging filter needs to be given appropriately according to the channel variation to provide good performance. This paper proposes an adaptive forgetting factor control method using the metrics of Viterbi decoder for coded OFDM transmission. Numerical results given by computer simulation show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme compared with the conventional scheme using the fixed forgetting factor.
