Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research, basic examination is performed about the directivity controllable microstrip array antenna. The five-element array antenna is composed of a probe fed patch and four parasitic patches arranged around the fed patch is proposed. The parasitic patches have a slot and a pair of switching diodes. The surface current of the patches are controlled to change the directivity by the bias voltage for the diodes on the patch. The FDTD method is applied to obtain the characteristic and clarify the detailed behavior of the antenna. The results show that the directivity is controllable by the polarity of the bias voltage applied to diodes.
