Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We present a method for transferring colors between images using the principal component analysis. The color of a target image is mapped into the eigencolor space from which the color is recovered with the inverse mapping of a reference image. This mapping and back-mapping of the target image changes its color to that of the reference image. Scaling of eigenvalues in the eigencolor space leads to the recoloring of the target image itself. The scaling of the second eigenvalue is effective for envisualization of isoluminant colors. A method for color transfer between image subregions is also developed by using fuzzy decomposition of a target image into two layers and alpha-blending of recolored foreground layer. |
