Since co-occurrence matrix (histogram) hh=(h_) of a pair of the gray values has been frequently used for the texture analysis of a image f=(f_), we propose a new scheme of "co-occurrence frequency image CFI" Q=(q_) q_=^*(h_) as a smart feature image of the image f, which denotes the number of co-occurrence frequency of f_ and gives a new image of which value has the address of its co-occurrence frequency h_. This paper introduces this idea and investigates its properties from the view point of image feature extraction. For example, it is promising to construct a new edge feature extraction by a band-pass filter to the co-occurrence frequency image.
