Surface Brillouin Scattering in solids with light beating technique

Abstract(in English) We observed Brillouin scattering spectra from thermally excited surface acoustic phonons in BK7 and fused silica at room temperature. Phonon frequency in our experiments was around 100 MHz, which was lower than range of other experiments. The dispersion relations obtained in these samples were in relative agreement with the literature values.
