Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fluorescent X-ray computed tomography (FXCT) is a molecular imaging modality that can detect a trace of material, e.g., iodine, in biomedical subject with a high spatial resolution. Presently, we are developing a FXCT system for imaging brains of living small animals such as mouse, rat, and so on. However, there is a problem that the number of projections is remarkably restricted because of the long data-acquisition time. In order to reduce the measurement time, we propose to eliminate unnecessary beam scanning by adaptively and efficiently controlling the scanning according to the subject size. Also, data correction methods to improve the image quality are described. Finally, we show the in-vivo brain image of mouse to demonstrate the efficacy of proposed methods.
