Study on EM Environment at ETC Tollgate with Multiple Lane

Abstract(in English) Presently, as the use of ETC(Electric Toll Collection System) expands, more dedicated ETC lanes are installed at toll gate facilities. However, the additional lanes can cause the electric wave radiated from the ETC antenna to be reflected by the stractures such as roofs of the toll booths and can result in the in-vehicle equipments malfanction. Therefore, this report discusses on an actual toll gate with two or more ETC lanes, and analyzes the electric wave environment under the use of ETC by the ray-trace method. Then, the analytical and the experiment results are compared, and the effectiveness of the analysis is confirmed, while the change in the electric wave environment in the adjacent lane when a vehicle proceeds into it is examined.
