Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report deals with collaborative work in which two users work cooperatively by using haptic interface devices while talking to each other. In the collaborative work, the two users lift and move an object cooperatively while one of them is instructing the direction of the object's movement by voice. By experiment, we clarify the effect of voice by making a comparison of the efficiency between the work with voice and that without voice. We also investigate the influence of the network delay on the efficiency of the work. Experimental results show that the efficiency deteriorates as the network delay of the voice becomes larger.
