Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is preferable to guarantee the speech quality during there holding time when VoIP is assumed. Therefore, introduction of CAC(Call Admission Control) is promised. And also in consideration of TE(Traffic Engineering), the transmission route is desirable to be fixed. For example, this is realized by using MPLS technology. In this scheme, alternate routing is needed in order to absorb dynamic changes of traffic in the networks. However, it has already been pointed out that a excessive expansion of alternate routing invites a decrease and instability of network throughput. We are proposing a Quality Resource Reservation scheme as a control mechanism to suppress the phenomenon. In this paper, the effectiveness of the Quality Resource Reservation scheme is examined by using computer simulation results.
