Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report discusses a personal authentication method based on the keystroke dynamics, which is extracted from passwords inputted in the login procedure for the computer. In the authentication method using the keystroke dynamics, we have a advantage that such a method needs only the keyboard as an input equipment. On the other hand, since such a method uses the behavior characteristics, we adequately have to process these features with large variance. It is very important to extract each adequate feature from these behavior features. In this report, we discuss the two methods, that is, a verification method by using the statistics and methods by using neural networks. Finally, we compare concretely these methods based on experimental results.
