Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When the three-dimensional(3D) force feedback obtained from real objects is displayed in virtual space, we need to describe the 3D force feedback based on measured data, and compute them in real time. We proposed a method to describe the 3D force feedback by interpolating measured data distributed in position-velocity feature space of six dimensions. We interpolated the measured data by using Radial Basis Function(RBF). In this paper, We report a method to display the 3D force feedback in real time by splitting six dimentional space into regions to be interpolated, and using bucket method to find the corresponding region to the manipulation in the feature space.
