Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, PCs and broadband networks have been popularized. Goverment institutions have been planning to realize their electric services. It is getting more and more difficult to solve 'digital devide'. Nagoya City goverment has started a project to assist senior citizens with PC use since April in 2004, which is promoted by cooperation among the city goverment, a regional company, and our group. We have developed a built-in simple user-friendly input interface with the web browser for senior citizen's PC operation, which forms a part of the project. A simple layout of a software keyboard and web browser is designed based on usability experiments in cooperation with senior citizen PC users.
