Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As accessibility initiatives to support the auditorily impaired, captioning services via personal computers have been in use in a variety of commodities. However, it is pointed out that the number of well-skilled captioners is not enough. To overcome this problem, remote captioning system is one of the candidates. The supporting capioners over the networks join in a venue to support a captioning. We design a new remote captioning system which works on a virtual private network and video streamings. The performance of the present system is examined to a student with auditory impaired at a class in Ehime University.
