Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Controllable defect in photonic crystal can be used as dynamical optical switching. Characteristics of the optical switching element based on photonic crystal with defect are analyzed. Operated wavelength can be controlled by the shift of the defect in one-dimensional photonic crystal structure. Extinction ratio at the defect mode is also analyzed.
