Abstract(in English) Recently, a broadband passive optical network system was internationally standardized by the ITU-T. As a WDM filter in a subscriber has been set in each one, it is difficult to integrate the each of WDM filters set in subscribers. So we propose the novel system configuration that a setting position of the WDM filters is to be in an aerial closure not to be in each subscriber. Furthermore we attached a 1×8 splitter chip to a WDM filter array chip directly for reducing a module size and a low loss. In this paper, we report fabricated results of a low loss 1×8 splitter/wideband WDM filter array integrated module using PLC-chip direct attachment for video distribution services of FTTH.
