10 GHz resonant type LiNbO_3 optical modulator array with patch antennas

Abstract(in English) We have proposed a resonant type optical modulator array with antennas, which is expected to be a millimeter-wave and light wave converter in the uplink of the radio on fiber system. We fabricated four aligned resonant type modulators along an optical waveguide on LiNbO_3 substrate and confirmed that the phase shift of the modulator array was depended on the array number. Also, we fabricated patch antennas and connected the antennas to each modulator. We demonstrated that the modulators were operated by the received power of the antenna.
