Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We study the transient characteristics of poly(9, 9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO)-based polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs) doped with green and red emissive phosphor fac-tris(2-phenylpyridine) iridium (III) [Ir(ppy)_3] and tris(1-phenylisoquinoline) iridium (III) [Ir(piq)_3]. The maximum luminance reached 4,800cd/m^2 by DC driven. The electroluminescence (EL) spectrum changed by applying various voltage pulses. White PLEDs showed the ideal white emission corresponding with the the Commission Internationale de L'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of (0.33, 0.35) at the pulse width and frequency of 100ns and 1kHz, respectively. The CIE changed due to the difference of lifetime between fluorescence (PFO:~4ns) and phosphorescence [Ir(ppy)_3, Ir(piq)_3:~3μs].
