Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose reconfigurable RF circuit design. This paper reports a variable inductor for the reconfigurable RF circuit design. The variable inductor is one of key components for the design methodology. The inductor consists of ordinary planar-spiral inductor and conductor plate. The conductor plate can be moved by a MEMS actuator, and inductance can be varied by the plate. In the simulated results, the variable inductor provides from 3.9nH to 6.4nH inductance, and VCO with the variable inductor can oscillate from 1.9GHz to 3.4GHz.
