Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new RFID tags has been designed by using a reflective surface acoustic wave(SAW) delay line. An SH-SAW has only shear horizontal displacement. The SH-SAW has the unique characteristic of complete reflection at a 90 degree edge normal to the direction of propagation. The characteristic makes it possible to construct a reflective delay line. The reflective delay line is used as passive sensors to measure the values from a remote location. The passive sensors don't need connecting wire and power supply. In this paper, this reflective SAW delay line has fabricated passive sensor and RFID tags. Experimental results showed that the reflective delay lines are very suitable to make a SAW RFID tags. Moreover, it is shown some applications of the SH-SAW RFID tags on the measurement of the acoustic property of the liquid and the strain of materials.
