A study of HARQ Data Mapping methods for MC-CDMA

Abstract(in English) In this paper we propose two data mapping methods for Hybrid-Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) used in Multi-carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) system and show computer simulation results. One method is Constellation Rearrangement, which employs different signal constellation in each packet retransmission. The other is Spreading Code Rearrangement, which employs different set of spreading codes in each packet retransmission. These methods utilize the difference of bit reliability in each retransmission and are able to exploit diversity gain. By computer simulation we show that both methods achieve the better performance than conventional Chase Combining type Hybrid ARQ.
