Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When performing TCP/IP transmission over wireless environment, its performance deteriorates significantly because of the poor channel condition present compared to wired environments. As countermeasures for this, an application of FEC (Forward Error Correction) and ARQ (Automatic Repeat reQuest) techniques to lower layers of IP layer is effective to improve performance. In this paper, we focused on ARQ techniques and by implementing Stop-and-Wait, Go-back-N and Selective Repeat ARQ algorithms to network simulator, we obtain TCP throughput performance over wireless channel and demonstrate/evaluate its performance improvement by introducing ARQ techniques.
