Abstract(in English) Multi-hop wireless connection scheme for cellular system is one of the promising methods to expand cell area coverage in uplink which is limited by available maximum transmitting power of a radio terminal. This paper proposes a novel multi-hop wireless connection scheme based on a minimum transmit power criterion by measuring interference level at relay station. Computer simulations were carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed cheme, in terms of its area coverage associating with mobile terminal density and system load. The simulation results confirm that the number of base stations in a single unit area can be decreased by the proposed multi-hop connection scheme.
