Automatic Choreography Synthesis based on Music Information for Multiple Animated Figures

Abstract(in English) It is not stranger that cost of animation generation can be saved by using technique of CG(computer graphic). However, for choreography of dance motion, an important thing, human, mustnot be forgotten. There were some researches about the motion generation for a solo figure harmonized to the input music. But, there is few research about the choreoghraphy for multiple figures yet. In this paper, motion of multiple figures is generated harmonized to the emotion from the input music. For extration of emotion from music: Firstly. structure factors of music in each beat are extracted from input SMF(Standard MIDI File) and emotion values for 8 groups of emotion adjectives are calculated. Secondly, The intervals are re-estimated according to the representation time of each emotion. For motion generation: to match the factor values of emotion in the interval, the whole trach design of that interval will be firstly selected before motions of each figure in the interval are generated. This time, the track of the object is focused to. It is the future project that the art of motions of each figure should be graded up.
